A Quiet Kind of Thunder by Sara Barnard

Steffi doesn’t talk.
Rhys can’t hear.
They understand each other perfectly.
Love isn’t always a lightning strike. Sometimes it’s the rumbling roll of thunder…
Steffi has been a selective mute for most of her life – she’s been silent for so long that she feels completely invisible. But Rhys, the new boy at school, sees her. He’s deaf, and her knowledge of basic sign language means that she’s assigned to look after him. To Rhys it doesn’t matter that Steffi doesn’t talk and, as they find ways to communicate, Steffi finds that she does have a voice, and that she’s falling in love with the one person who makes her feel brave enough to use it.

“I decide this is just A Bad Day. We all get them, because grief doesn’t care how many years it’s been.”
― Sara Barnard, A Quiet Kind of Thunder

I thought this book was a really cute read! My rating for this book is FOUR STARS. This book resonates with me in some ways. I really enjoyed this book.

All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

img_0827“Open your eyes and see what you can with them before they close forever.”
― Anthony Doerr, All the Light We Cannot See

All the Light We Cannot See is a Historical Fiction Novel. So, when I picked this Novel up, I kind of got it on a whim. I really didn’t think I would enjoy it, but I loved it!!! Considering, when I first tried to read this Novel, I had trouble comprehending what the first couple pages meant. I persevered through these pages, and finally grasped the concept of this book. This book was the very first Historical Fiction I have read and potentially the best. I GIVE IT FIVE STAR RATING!!!!!!!!!!!

Wintersong by S. Jae -Jones

I really had high hopes for this book, in particular, because it was supposedly a spin-off of the Labyrinth. Which is one of my most cherished movies from my childhood! I went into this book thinking “Yeah, of course its going to be LITTLE different than the movie!” This book simply didn’t do this movie justice. The character development didn’t happen as much as I would have liked. I would of loved more unusual creatures and more of a connection to them personally. Mostly the Labyrinth the movie is about obstacles and disadvantges for Sarah, while she ventures to find her baby brother. When she goes through these trails, she faces them with her friends (creatures). Sarah loathes the goblin king. In this book, Liesl doesn’t have a bond with anyone except the goblin king and her sister. she has NO friends helping her. One thing I love about this book is the art! JUST GO WTH THE MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!

Six of Crows is a Young adult fantasy. It has a different world and feel to it ………. it just makes you feel your apart of this unique, astonishing and breathtaking universe that Leigh Bardogo has created!!!!!!!!! I personally love Kaz Brekkers character, he is charismatic and witty. Just all around a stunning character! All of the characters roles are impressive, intimidating and striking because the story is eye-opening in many ways. This circle of characters has a awe-inspiring relationship with each other. That is what makes this book so special and interesting.

Hello! This is my first book review!!!!!!!!

“Ask yourself these three questions, Tatiana Metanova, and you will know who you are. Ask: What do believe in? What do you hope for? What do you love?”
